About
Welcome to my webpage. I am an Assistant Professor of Urban Affairs and Planning in the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. My core research and teaching interests center on planning for health-promoting cities and neighborhoods. My scholarly contributions fall into three main research agendas: (1) quantifying spatial patterns of urban air quality for exposure assessment, (2) measuring and modeling bicycling and walking traffic, and (3) assessing cyclists’ and pedestrians’ exposure to hazards in urban environments.
